You can’t miss this place, as its grand Aztec-style doorway stands out from others on the street. With that, one step into the building takes you from the familiar Spanish streets into a world of differing culture and appearance, where energetic guitar sounds meet sombreros and authentic Mexican décor.
The menu is what you would expect and more; comprising of all you favourite Mexican dishes and a staggering 40 types of tequila, something that the myIbizainfo team were particularly receptive to! Many of the starters are ideal for sharing, like the classic nachos served with delicious homemade salsa and the spicy stuffed jalapenos in breadcrumbs. Particularly good out of the main courses at Tijuana Tex-Mex are the fajitas, washed down with a few bottles of Mexican beers Dos Equis and Corona; a match made in heaven. Having said that, the wine selection is on a par with that of the tequila, and features some very nice bottles of Rioja as well as some Mexican imports.
Together, the good food and buzzing atmosphere are a fantastic combination, especially popular with families and big groups alike. For parties of between 15 and 30, there is a private room available for hire, to celebrate that special occasion in style. The waiting staff at Tijuana Tex-Mex are superb and will ensure that your dinner is as enjoyable as possible. Usually there are a few rounds of gold tequila involved, with accompanying orange and cinnamon. A real unique feature of Tijuana is the old-school phones at each table with which you are able to call and speak to other tables around the restaurant.
