Mediterranean
Its tasteful yet simple décor blends well with the classy nature of the harbour, and the outlook from the terrace is of rows and rows of moored yachts bobbing in the water. Altogether this makes for a peaceful and truly charming spot for a meal.........
La Tavernetta is small and has a menu to match. The ethos of the restaurant is to keep things simple yet of the best quality, relaxing and friendly yet of uncompromising standards. The theme of La Tavernetta ties in with its situation; the walls decorated with fishing memorabilia and the terrace furnished with wooden tables and director's chairs. There is some fish on the menu, locally sourced of course, but the majority of the dishes are pizza or fresh pasta. There is always a 'pasta of the day' on offer which is usually a good option, but the pizzas too are excellent. Decorated with the best parmesan and balsamic vinegar, the food is fresh, homemade and full of flavour.
It is not just the wet-set crowd that come to La Tavernetta, although it is an ideal location and a take-away service is available so that it can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own boat. The food is good enough to bring in people from all over, and there are few restaurants that can offer such a romantic setting, especially for that post-dinner stroll along the promenade.
