It is a common held misconception that the infamous strip simply starts at Savannah and ends at Café Mambo – thereby covering a distance of less than 100 metres or so. If you are after great cuisine at extremely reasonable prices, head up the strip in the direction of Caló des Moro (a 3 minute walk away) where you will find Kasbah, a hidden gem on the San Antonio restaurant scene. At Kasbah you will still be blessed with the same sunset as it´s more distinguished neighbours, however what separates this venue to the rest is the fine cuisine with an intricate attention to detail in terms of preparation and presentation.

Kasbah has a simple décor, partly so that they can promote a relaxing environment but also because they are not aiming to compete with some of Ibiza’s über stylish and more expensive of restaurants. The notion behind the restaurant is simple, to provide a superb and diverse selection of cuisine at some of the most competitive prices in the area. Upon sampling the food, this cannot be argued against. The menu is an international fusion of everyone’s favourite dishes, involving influences from France, Spain, Britain and the East amongst others. It is testimony to the head chef’s skill to produce such a vast array of dishes to such a high standard. The tandoori marinated lamb chops were cooked to perfection and come highly recommended, with our only other advice being to save some room for a desert!

If cocktails are your thing, or even if they aren’t, make sure to try a strawberry daiquiri in the lounge chill-out area after your meal. It is debatable whether you will find anything better on the island! Kasbah also provide a service for private parties, with the ever popular BBQ spread being a favourite for expats and workers, or even a large group of friends who are out visiting Ibiza for a period of time.
