Pizzerias and Italian Cuisine
Beach Restaurants
It must benefit significantly from its location, as the cove here is quite picturesque and tranquil, and attracts many people from the surrounding San Antonio Bay area. However, it could be suggested that Es Virot was the reason to come to this beach rather than the other way around. It has a fine reputation amongst the locals, and their regular presence here is testament to the good-quality food.
The menu is an amalgamation of Italian and Spanish cuisine. In fact, Es Virot bills itself as a pizzeria, but there is far more to it than simply pizza. Specialities also include Ibizenco meats and locally-sourced, fresh seafood, all of which are full of flavour and quality. With so many excellent choices, it is difficult to single out any one. A number of options such as the salads or the mussels cooked in a spicy chilly sauce are perfect as a light lunch or to share as a starter. For those with a big appetite (and you will need it), the fillet steak or roast suckling pig are unquestionably good; the best for several miles around at least!
Situated out with the main hub of San Antonio Bay, Es Virot can be easily missed by tourists staying in the vicinity. Don’t let the journey put you off; this restaurant is one of the best in the area, and the accompanying beach is also worthwhile. Offering something that will keep everyone happy, it is an ideal venue for the family, especially as the portions are so generous for their modest price tag.
