Pizzerias and Italian Cuisine
David’s is that sort of Italian restaurant that we all know and love. Good food, express service, lively atmosphere and prices that don’t exclude anybody. It is a winning formula that ensures that the terrace is filled each and every day.
The cuisine is described as Franco-Italian, which is a fair reflection on a restaurant that goes far beyond the standard pizza-pasta options. The menu is extensive, particularly the pizza section where any one can be cooked on thin crust or as a Calzone (folded over). You will be hard pushed to find better pizza in San Antonio. Don’t be shy about straying from typically-Italian dishes; some of the best choices are those with more French influence in them, such as the delightfully tender Magret of Duck served with a sweet apple and honey sauce.
With a set-menu available at just €12.50, David’s is a great option for large groups. Furthermore, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the ambience of the restaurant lends itself to dynamic crowds. In the height of the peak season, David’s operates a waiting list system to allocate their tables, as the restaurant is invariably packed. They do have an efficient turnover of diners, but if the wait is too much for you then the full menu is available to takeaway.
