Cafes
The idea behind the business was simple; to bring the well-renowned croissant recipe of Le Nôtre to the people of Ibiza. With an unrivalled product and longer opening hours than its competitors, Croissant-Show soon took off, attracting locals and tourists in their masses both during the day and late into the night. A long way from its humble beginnings, the café-bar now occupies a much larger venue with accompanying street terrace and serves up a wealth of tantalising options throughout the day.
Perhaps at first glance Croissant-Show appears fairly unassuming. The menu certainly does not contain extravagant concoctions of Franco-Spanish cuisine, but what it does do is cater for virtually anyone at anytime with high-quality and highly-popular dishes. Whilst opening each day from 6am, Croissant-Show truly comes alive midmorning when the late risers arrive for coffee and continental breakfast.
Throughout the day, the same selection of snacks and more-hearty meals cause major dilemmas amongst the clientele as they ponder what to order. The No.1 baguette, with Serrano Ham and Manchego Cheese comes highly recommended, but in all honesty you are sure not to be left disappointed no matter what the ultimate decision. Quiches and fresh salads offer excellent value for a filling bite, while oysters, foix gras and champagne provide totally unique alternatives. The cuisine is made up of carefully-sourced ingredients from near and far and organic where feasible. A fine example would be the pastries, made from Charentes butter from North France and served with homemade marmalade.
The Croissant-Show, charming and full of character, is consistently busy with an international and friendly crowd from breakfast through to the small hours where after-club snacks are on offer. Don’t let this put you off, as the service is remarkably efficient and the experience is not to be missed.
