Pizzerias and Italian Cuisine
Put simply, Cicale is a perfect example of how to combine the old with the new to stunning avail. Superb gardens give way to the oldest finca restaurant on the island, where one can choose to sample the magnificent Italian cuisine amid truly outstanding settings. During the summer months the emphasis is most certainly upon dining alfresco, where swarms of people revel beneath the natural canopy of trees and adjoining large terrace. Alternatively for when the cooler months set in, a roaring fireplace perfectly complements the exquisitely decorated interior to set the tone for that perfectly relaxing winter evening.
Far from being outdone, the authentic Italian cuisine provides the real talking point to this superb restaurant. A menu that is adorned with organic ingredients and creative dishes offers something for all pallets with the end result being consistently brilliant. To avoid any elements of monotony, the artistic chefs change the menu weekly, with the cuisine being predominately subject to the season in question. Homemade pasta and risotto dishes are in their plenty, alongside fresh meat and fish options with a difference and a wide range of desserts. Particularly worth noting are the fillet of beef and the sea-bass ravioli with fresh tomato and basil; both equally sublime in their own right. For a desert try the ricotta and pear mousse or the fresh fruit tiramisu.
The charismatic restaurateurs Michaela and Paolo set the example for the restaurant to prosper upon. A professional and unimpeachable approach is aligned with that fun and comforting Mediterranean spark in abundance. It is a real treat to eat at Cicale and after four years of operating, it is only a matter of time before they become one of the internationally recognised names of Ibiza. Watch this space…
