Bars
This weird but wonderful ‘sunset’ bar has seen the likes of Mauro Picotto, Boy George, Sonique and DJ Sammy adorn its DJ booth, an impressive feat for a bar that is only heading into its 10th year. Itaca experiences a constant flow of traffic from the very moment it opens until late into the night; with the combination of music, drink offers, food and location being the subsequent factors behind its continued success.
The contrast between day and night is evident for all to see. Itaca by day is not especially chilled out, nor is it upbeat to the extent that people head there to cut some shapes on the dance floor. It’s somewhere in the middle. Up-tempo tunes provide an ambience for individuals and groups alike to sit back and enjoy the sun drenched terrace whilst simultaneously quenching their thirst on one of the various cocktails on offer.
By night, Itaca is home to some of the most extravagant of pre-parties that San Antonio has to offer, with go-go dancers and drag queens proving to deliver something of a spectacle to say the very least! Furthermore they run a free shuttle bus to Privilege and Amnesia on various nights of the week. Whether you go there for a quick drink on route to one of Ibiza’s clubs or decide to spend the entire night there, Itaca is sure to provide a slightly different option to some of San Antonio’s more conservative of bars.
