What helps set Café Savannah apart from the rest is a bouncing atmosphere that is virtually unrivalled in San Antonio, usually inspired by the line-up of superstar DJs, such as Fedde Le Grand and Groove Armada, who are regularly in attendance. That, together with an enticing all day menu and reasonable drinks costs, attracts fashionable drinkers in their hundreds.
For something to match the setting, I suggest sipping on a couple of champagne cocktails from the comfort of the wicker loungers as the sun slowly slips over the horizon. There’s no need to head off after the main event, as Savannah offers much more than simply a viewpoint. Stick around to enjoy one from the plethora of hearty bistro-style meals on offer, or kick start the evening with a few more drinks and a boogie. The menu plays up to the San Antonio crowd, offering a range of ever-popular international dishes such as nachos, the Savannah burger and even a few options from sumptuous Kama Sushi next door. Prices are high for bar grub but the quality is decent, and the generous portions and accompanying live DJ set go someway to justifying these.
Savannah has snapped up some of the most stylish pre-club parties on Ibiza, although with energetic beats spinning on the turntables in the backroom until 4am, you need not look elsewhere for your night’s entertainment. Occasional guest appearances from some of the island’s biggest DJs prove incredibly popular, with demand for entry well outstripping the club room’s 200 person capacity. Don’t miss the opportunity if it comes your way; events like these are one of Ibiza’s lasting magical experiences.
